NF Police make arrest in connection to shooting on 19th and Walnut

Niagara Falls police are still investigating reports of a shooting early Saturday morning at 19th and Walnut in Niagara Falls.

NFPD received a call from a witness at around 10:20a.m., stating a man, 35-year-old Lerowne Harris of Niagara Falls, was shot in a parking lot.

Witnesses say, Harris was then was pulled into a car that then drove off.

Officers quickly responded and secured the scene where they located a semi-auto pistol, found on the ground in the lot.

Harris was eventually taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The suspect, 21-year-old Denzel Lewis of Niagara Falls has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

The vehicle used to transport the victim has been located by patrol officers and resides at police headquarters.
