Officers say they arrested 32-year-old Dawn Weevie around 6:45 Friday morning, after responding to a report of a suspicious woman carrying a large bag near Niagara Falls Boulevard.

When officers spoke with Weevie, they say she told them she had been cooking meth at her home down the street, and was carrying the contents in her bag.

Police tell us the bag was immediately put down and the area was cordoned off. Officers say her bag contained about four ounces of meth.

Weeive is currently being held at the Town of Tonawanda Police Headquarters awaiting arraignment.
