New R&B and throwback station coming to Buffalo airwaves

The people behind WUFO Mix 1080, an AM radio station in the greater Buffalo area, launched a new FM station Wednesday. Broadcast on 96.5 FM, Power 96.5 will be a blend of R&B and throwback hits.

Vision Multi Media Group runs Mix 1080, a station known for gospel, throwback and talk radio.

“Don’t ever give up on your dreams," Sheila Brown, VMMG CEO, said in a statement. "Dreams come true in Gods time."

The programming schedule for Power 96.5 includes the Tom Joyner Morning Show from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Michael Baisden Show from 3 to 7 p.m., both running Monday to Friday, as well as Real Talk Live from 5 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday and The Traffic Jam with DJ Huk-Her every Friday at 5 p.m.
