The new ramp taking drivers from Porter Avenue directly to the Peace Bridge Plaza is now open for business.
The ramp is part of a larger plan to improve traffic flow across the Peace Bridge into Canada and is part of a $57 million project to revamp the U.S. side of the bridge plaza.
"This milestone is a victory for the entire region that will help improve access and traffic flow on the American side of the bridge," said Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Baird Drive is now closed as crews begin to restore the historic Front Park.
