A new Erie County Pistol Permit Department Satellite Office opened in Elma on Friday morning.
Elma Town Supervisor Dennis Powers was joined by Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns and local lawmakers to cut the ribbon on the new office in Elma Town Hall on Bowen Road in Elma. This is the county's first pistol permit satellite office.
The office will be open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will help pistol permit holders add and remove guns from their permit, handle change of address requests and answer general questions.
The satellite office is open in addition to the pistol permit office inside the Erie County Clerk's office at Old County Hall in downtown Buffalo. You can find more information on the Erie County Pistol Permit Department and its hours here.
