In an effort to ensure Buffalo's homeless population stays both warm and fed this winter season, the Western New York Coalition for the Homeless is partnering with the City to ensure their needs are met.
A press conference is scheduled on Thursday, November 17, to discuss new improvements to Buffalo's existing "Code Blue" operation, called the "Code Blue Collaborative."
Changes to this emergency weather safety plan will serve to further assist thousands of homeless individuals in need.
Last year, "Code Blue" served over 600 homeless individuals, helping to lower the death rate since 2009.
The press conference will be held at the Matt Urban Hope Center at 1p.m.
