A Western New York company is rolling out a new app designed to help end drinking and driving across the Buffalo area.

Designated Drivers of Buffalo announced Tuesday it has launched the DDNY app. It will allow customers to order professional drivers to drive both the customer and their vehicle wherever they need to go.

"We wanted to stay current with technology and give people a safe ride with their car so they don't risk drinking and driving" says Michael Mule', CEO of Designated Drivers of Buffalo.  "We are taking car service to a whole new level. Having a personal driver is a fun and safe way of getting around Buffalo. Unlike ride-sharing apps where customers order a ride, the DDNY app will send you a driver who becomes your personal chauffeur for both you and your own car."

The DDNY app is currently available for download on both iOS and Android platforms and will go live this week.

In preparation of the app's launch, DDOB is looking to add at least 50 additional drivers over the next month. Anyone interested in driving for DDOB can apply by calling Designated Drivers of Buffalo at 202-2222 or applying online at www.DDOBNY.com.
