New after-school program teams up with Bills alum

Posted

The West Seneca Community Education has partnered with former Buffalo Bill and Sportz Degree founder Donald Jones to provide a new after-school program.

The Sportz Degree program will run side-by-side with current after school programming at East Middle School and is offered to students in grades 4-6. Jones, along with other staff, will provide instruction in various sports activities to give children a different outlook on sportsmanship, health and wellness.

During the school year, the program will host guest instructors from Microsoft and Home Depot to integrate other valuable life skills.

The program will run every day after school from 4-6 p.m. There will be open registration on August 16th and 17th at East Middle School.

Jones has 50 tickets to the August 31st Kids' Day Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions games at New Era Field. The first 25 families registered in the Sportz Degree After School Program will receive two tickets to the game.
