A group of Good Samaritans helped save a woman from her burning home in Buffalo.

On Saturday afternoon, just before 3:30 p.m., three men all noticed smoke coming from a home on C Street. The men rushed to the door and knocked, waking the woman inside and alerting her to the emergency.

"I saw some smoke," said Austin Edwards of Buffalo. "I said man, that looks serious."

The men then called 911 and the Buffalo Fire Department responded to the scene and managed to get the flames under control.

Fire officials say the fire was contained to the rear of the home and that it may have been caused by a space heater, however arson investigators are still working to determine an exact cause.

No one was injured and the fire remains under investigation.
