With Flag Day coming up, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park held a fun "I Pledge Allegiance Challenge" on Saturday afternoon.
Any child 12 and under who could recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory, won a free Perry's Ice Cream treat, a free American flag and free admission to the Naval Park.
In addition, there was an elaborate flag display inside the Hall of Honor building, courtesy of Ace Flag Co. Representatives were on hand to answer any questions people had about flags.
