A subpoena has been issued for former New York congressman Anthony Weiner’s cell phone records, days after reports emerged alleging that he had been sexting with an under aged girl.

CNN reports that the office of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara issued the subpoena for Weiner’s cell phone records.

The New York Daily News also reports that the Manhattan Special Victims Unit and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office are also investigating the case.

The allegations were first reported by the Daily Mail, which included screen caps of Weiner’s exchange with the 15-year-old girl.

The allegations are just the latest in a long line of sex scandals for Weiner, which date back to 2011 when he was forced to resign from Congress after accidentally tweeting a sexually explicit picture in what he thought was a private message.
