TAMPA, Florida — Many people see living in Florida as the dream, which may be why 149 people move to Tampa every day, according to a Bloomberg report.

Bloomberg's report shows that Tampa ranks third out of the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas when it comes to migration, falling right behind Dallas and Phoenix. Another city in Florida also made the Top 5 with Orlando seeing a gain of 125 people daily, falling 5th in the ranking.

"The migration trend has two channels — international and domestic. The international portion is the difference between those moving from outside the U.S. and those leaving the country. The second part of the equation, net domestic migration counts those who move in from another part of the country and subtracts those who leave for other U.S. area," the report says.

In 2017, the report shows that a total of 41,000 people moved to Tampa from other parts of the country.

The report notes that these figures do not include natural increases in population, meaning births and deaths.
