BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — We're keeping a list of which local events and organizations are shutting down in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

You'll find major events and venues listed here. For all other organizations, including churches, please check here.

Erie County

ALL SCHOOLS in Erie County are closed to students until April 20th

"Alleyway Theatre will cancel performances of SCOTCH AND MADNESS and THE GOLDEN GIRLS: LOST EPISODES due to the developing health situation."

The St. Patrick's Day Mass held at the Buffalo Irish Center is cancelled for Tuesday, March 17th

Buffalo City Hall Tours: Daily Tours have been canceled until further notice.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at Buffalo Grand Hotel -- now postponed until August 29, 2020

Buffalo Niagara Convention Center
All events canceled until March 26.

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
All performances and events canceled until April 12

Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries
Public programs and meeting room use in Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries are canceled through (at least) Saturday, March 28. All libraries remain open to the public and continue to offer traditional library services such as book and media borrowing, in-library free WiFi, public computers, and Census 2020 information, as well as online resources, databases, research tools, downloadable eBooks and music.

Buffalo Zoo
Closed March 14 through March 28.

CEPA Gallery's Biennial Auction
The event on Saturday, March 21 is postponed. We will accommodate all requests from ticket holders, including refunds, tax deductible receipts or re-issuing for the new date.

All Fairgrounds events, scheduled through March 31st, have been cancelled or postponed. This includes the following:

Grand Island schools
Closed indefinitely

Junior Achievement of WNY
Canceled: Saturday’s JA Bowl-A-Thon scheduled at all three locations: Transit Lanes, AMF Airport Lanes and AMF Lancaster Lanes.

Just Buffalo Literary Center
Closed until further notice

Kleinhans Music Hall
Art of Jazz at the Philharmonic concert scheduled for March 15 canceled.

Lancaster Schools
Closed until further notice

Martin House
All public and group tours are canceled, the on-site museum store will be closed, and all programs will be temporarily postponed through the end of March.

Shea's Performing Arts Center
All remaining performances of 'Hello, Dolly!' along with all performances of 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' at Shea's 710 Theatre.

City of Tonawanda
City Hall on Niagara Street will close each day at 4:30 p.m., no organizations or boards can utilize the building after 4:30 p.m.

Senior Citizen Center at 35 Main Street will close at the end of business Friday March 13 until further notice.

Any event at the Niawanda Park Pavilion in Niawanda Park that will be hosting over 75 people in the next few weeks will be cancelled and monies refunded. Any event 75 people or less will need a notarized waiver stating that. Waivers available at the Parks Office-150 Fillmore.

"Originally scheduled for April 4 and 5 – has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14."

Sesame Street Live! "Let's Party!" performances currently scheduled for March 14 and 15 have been postponed.

Vietnam Veteran Anniversary Commemoration
"Vietnam Veterans Anniversary Commemoration event will not take place March 19 as previously scheduled and is postponed due to public gathering guidance. We’ll update you when a new date is set."

Williamsville Schools

Aquarium of Niagara
Closed to the public from 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 through 9 a.m. on March 28, 2020

Hornblower Niagara Cruises
To ensure the health and safety of all staff and guests and following the recommendation of the Government of Ontario, Hornblower Niagara Cruises will be postponing the opening of its 7th operating season, with tentative plans to open on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Niagara County District Attorney’s Office Victim Impact Panel
Scheduled for March 17, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Niagara County Community College (NCCC) - canceled. "Those scheduled to take part should plan on attending the April 21, 2020 meeting at 7 p.m. at NCCC unless notified differently before that time."

Seneca Resorts and Casino -- all locations
All Seneca Resorts & Casinos entertainment shows have been postponed through March effective immediately. This includes shows scheduled at Seneca Niagara Event Center, Seneca Niagara Bear’s Den Showroom, and Seneca Allegany Event Center.
