It started with a Big Mac.

Matt Bockhorst, a Clemson lineman and is Twitter famous for sporting a cheesy grin while stacking two Big Macs on a plate at the White House Monday night.

President Trump told reporters he paid for "great American food" -- McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King and pizza -- for the team in honor of their national championship. Much of the residence staff at the White House who might have handled the catering is furloughed due to the government shutdown.

In response to another tweet, the 6'4", 310-pound offensive guard tweeted the only logical response: “I mean you’re not just gonna NOT eat the Big Macs stacked in a pile right?”

Touche, Bockhorst. Touche.

Bockhorst even admitted he took some food to go.
