A dying woman got a chance to see the ocean for the last time courtesy of a benevolent ambulance crew in Queensland, Australia.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) posted a photo on its Facebook page of a member of the crew standing next to a gurney. The person in the gurney is not shown, but the gurney is faced toward the ocean along with a paramedic named Graeme Cooper, according to news.com.au

The woman had asked to see the beach one last time during her ride to the hospital, and so the ambulance drove to the beach at Hervey Bay, a coastal town in Australia.

"Sometimes it is not the drugs/training/skills – sometimes all you need is empathy to make a difference!" reads the post, which has been shared more than 20,000 times on Facebook.

Paramedic Danielle Kellan took the photo, according to the news site. Kellan and Cooper asked for permission from superiors before taking the woman to the ocean, according to news.com.au.
