After less than a year on the job, John Thomas West III is leaving his position as President of Nardin Academy.

According to a press release issued by the Buffalo private school, West will immediately end his relationship with the Academy.

School officials say it was a mutual decision between West, the school's board of trustees at the U.S. Provincial of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary (DHM).

No specific reason has been given for the sudden decision.

Marsha Joy Sullivan, Nardin's immediate past president, will serve as interim president of the school until the position is filled.
