GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WKBW) - Around 9:05 this morning, police responded to a multi-car crash involving a NFTA bus on Grand Island Boulevard.
Officials say the crash involved two cars and one NFTA bus with 12 people on the bus at the time.
Police say 13 people were evaluated at the scene. Five people were taken to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. A 27-year-old man was pulled from a burning vehicle and was taken to ECMC with serious injuries. It is unclear if anyone on the bus was injured.
The Accident Investigation Team has launched a joint investigation with the Erie County Sheriff's office to determine the cause of the accident.
