DiscoverE will host its Future City Competition Saturday at Mount St. Mary Academy in the Town of Tonawanda.

A non-profit educational program, DiscoverE says the competition will ask middle school students to imagine, design, and build cities of the future.

28 team of middle schoolers from the Buffalo area created cities in large tabletop models to present and defend to judges at today's competition. The theme this year is "The Age-Friendly City," says DiscoverE.

The first-place team will receive an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the Future City Competition National Finals in Washington, D.C., in February.

Judging begins at 1:30 p.m. and winners will be announced at 3:45 p.m.
