It's been more than 9 months since Captain Daisy Chambers with the U.S. Army Reserve has hugged her two sons, 8-year-old Maverick and 4-year-old Max. But that changed Thursday when she returned from serving in Afghanistan and surprised the boys at Four Seasons Childcare in Getzville.

"They had no idea," she explained. "They had no idea. They only knew I was coming home."

It was an emotional, heartfelt reunion. Many in the daycare couldn't hold back tears, including Chambers and her sons.

"It was hard," Chambers said. "It was hard to be out there knowing they were back home and they were here without me. It was a tough time but I would take it day by day and here I am. This day felt like forever, like it was never going to happen but here I am. I'm so glad to be home."
