A mother and son have been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a Town of Clarksville man.
According to New York State Police, Lana Joseph, 51, and her son Richard D. Mosher III, 26, both of Olean, have been charged with second degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Royce Chapman.
Police say an argument took place prior to the murder, and that they believe both the mother and son are involved in the murder. However, they did not go into specifics.
Troopers say Joseph had a former relationship to Chapman.
Troopers were called to Chapman's home, where his body was found, around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. A family member found the body of Chapman and called police.
Joseph and Mosher are set to be arraigned and taken to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
