Mother, baby treated after house fire

A mother and her baby were treated by first responders Thursday morning, after flames broke out over the second story of their Collaton Street home in Buffalo's Riverside neighborhood.

Firefighters were called to the home just after 3 a.m. Crews at the scene told 7 Eyewitness News flames were visible shooting through the roof when they arrived and spreading through the second floor of the home.

Aside from the mother and child, it is unclear whether anyone else was in the home at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
