College graduates may have heard from their recently-graduated friends, it can be tough to find a job.
A new survey from careerbuilder.com could give some hope to those grads though. It shows the majority of employers plan to hire recent college graduates this year.
According to the survey, 74% of employers will hire recent grads, higher than last year's 67%. The news gets better: half of the employers surveyed are offering higher starting pay this year. In fact, 39% of employers say they'll pay at least $50,000 per year, and 70% are willing to negotiate on salary after giving a job offer.
Some college degrees are in higher demand than others, though. Employers want business majors the most (30%), followed by engineers (26%), computer sciences (23%), engineering technologies (16%), and communications technologies (15%).
