Just say no to table slamming, that's the message from the Erie County Sheriff's Office ahead of tonight's Monday Night Football match-up at New Era Field.

On Monday morning, the Sheriff's Office released important information and reminder as fans head to the stadium for the game against the New England Patriots.

Game day traffic patterns will be in place.

  • 3:15 pm: Abbott Road will close to vehicle traffic between the entrance to Lot 4 (north end of the closure) and Lot 2 (south end of the closure).  All through traffic will be diverted at that time.  Drivers can access private lots on Abbott Road from the south.
  • 4:15 pm: New Era parking lots will open.  Deputies are reminding people that they will be focusing on excessive drinking and checking for glass bottles. Also, fans and tailgaters are reminded that the Fan Code of Conduct, extends to parking lots. Any games or activities that impede traffic flow will not be permitted. Deputies add that table slamming is not permitted and violators will be ejected and potentially face criminal charges.
  • 6:45 pm: Gates open at New Era Field.  Click here for a stadium guide, a list of permitted items and the stadium's clear bag policy.

After the game, Route 20a ((Big Tree Road)) will be closed to westbound traffic from the Route 219 overpass.

The Sheriff's Office is recommending people leave early for the stadium due to construction, as we as rush house traffic.
