Two small children are in the hospital after an accident in Cattaraugus County Friday night that killed their mother.
Deputies say around 6:15pm, Teresa Bergeron ran a stop sign at Rt. 219/98 and Humphrey Road in Great Valley. The 34-year-old’s car struck a pine tree in front of 5994 Humphrey Road, around 4 miles down the road from her own home on Humphrey Road.
Teresa and her two children, 2-year-old Harley and 4-year-old Briana, were taken to Olean General Hospital. Her children remained there with minor injuries while Teresa was transferred to ECMC, where she died of her injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
