Due to a Lake Effect snowstorm dropping feet of snow, Amtrak temporarily suspended service to and from Buffalo on Tuesday.
Wednesday night, Amtrak announced trains 63 and 64, the Maple Leaf, between New York City and Toronto will begin operating again on Thursday.
On Friday, the train service will begin modified Empire Service schedules west of Albany-Rensselaer to and from Syracuse/Buffalo/Niagara Falls with normal operations returning Saturday.
Full New York/Boston-Chicago Lake Shore Limited service via Buffalo and Cleveland will resume as normal on Friday.
All service subject to delays in the event of heavy snowfall.
