Mercy Flight was called to the scene of a serious rollover crash on Lockport Road and Mapleton Road in the Town of Wheatfield Tuesday morning, following a chase with police.

Two helicopters were initially dispatched to the crash around 5:15 a.m., but one of those helicopters was canceled. There were two men in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Luther Douglas, 30, and Freddie Kennedy, 33, were the two in the vehicle. Police found both men ejected from the vehicle. One of them was thrown nearly 30 feet from the overturned vehicle.

Kennedy is in critical condition and Douglas is in stable condition at ECMC.
Both men are from Niagara Falls. Sheriffs tell 7 Eyewitness News the vehicle rolled over from end-to-end following a chase that started in Niagara Falls, and was picked up by Town of Niagara police officers.

The police vehicles in pursuit backed off as the vehicle reached high speeds of nearly 80 mph. Officers then found the vehicle rolled over and smoking.
