Posted

Niagara Falls Police investigators say a medical emergency led to a deadly crash Friday night.

Police say a 57 year-old man from Burlington, Ontario was exiting the Robert Moses Parkway northbound at the recently installed traffic circle when he lost control of his 2016 Honda Accord. The vehicle struck a grass embankment on Niagara Street, became airborne, then struck a tree.

The driver was taken by rescuers to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A female passenger was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
