Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown kicked off a week of employment opportunity today. Brown was joined by state lawmakers, officials from the New York Department of Labor, and other employment groups of Western New York today on the steps of City Hall where he unveiled job fairs and employment opportunity all next week.
On Monday, April 24, from 5:00-7:00 pm, is the community workforce outreach event where you can learn how to take part in the Northland Corridor Redevelopment Project. That’s at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on East Delavan Avenue.
On Tuesday, April 25, from 11:00-2:00 p.m., the New York State Department of Labor and the Concerned Clergy of Western New York are hosting a career expo with more than 60 businesses offering over 2,000 jobs. That’s also at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on East Delavan Avenue.
On Thursday, April 26, from 10:00-12:00 p.m. is the BETC Career Fair, and Friday is the deadline for the Mayor Brown and City of Buffalo Youth Employment and Internship application.
