Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown laid out his $20 million funding plan for 2017 on Tuesday. The capital budget funds major improvements to city facilities, infrastructure and parks.
Among the highlights of the proposed plan is $1.9 million in funding for the first phase of an infrastructure upgrade program for a Police and Fire Headquarters.
Also included was $1.6 million for arts and cultural organizations in Buffalo. The Buffalo Museum of Science, Buffalo Zoo, Allendale Theater and Buffalo History Museum will all benefit from the proposed plan .
The 2017 capital budge has been submitted to the Buffalo Common Council.
