There is no forgetting the big traffic back-up at Canalside over the weekend. On Wednesday Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown discussed what the city is working on to make sure the traffic flow at Canalside is resolved.
Brown says officials are working through the process of addressing the issue but that short term fixes involve better communication with visitors. "Information is important. Having signage that will notify people when parking is closed. In the short term we will have increased traffic enforcement and when I say enforcement I mean just to direct traffic."
Buffalo Police called the traffic issues over the weekend the perfect storm of multiple big issues happening at the same time.
Until a firm plan is in place the Mayor says people should consider using available means of public transportation to the Canalside area.
