No Western New York summer is complete without a trip to Martin’s Fantasy Island.

The theme park opens for the 2018 season on Saturday, May 5th. Fantasy Island Marketing Director, Doug Mandell said there are several new attractions to watch out for this year.

In fact, two of the original water slides are undergoing renovations and will debut as Double Dare Falls, a name guests voted for on social media.

“Also our water park snack bar is going to be Splash Away Cafe and it’s going to feature new favorites like buffalo wings, hamburgers, hotdogs and specialty tropical drinks that you can enjoy,” Mandell said.

Cabanas are also being built to give guests that beachy feel.  This summer, the theme park will also debut a new children’s area called Fairytale Forest.

Mandell said there is just about something for every family member to do.

Opening weekend is May 5th. The park will start opening 7 days a week in mid-June. Right now Fantasy Island is searching for employees. There are jobs such as lifeguards, ride operators, and security available.
