Man unharmed after 60-foot fall in Letchworth

A Cheektowaga man fell 60-feet in Letchworth State Park, but was able to walk away unscathed.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, authorities were called to the gorge on reports a hiker had fallen. Police conducted a high angle rope rescue to pull 22-year-old Timothy Mazurczak to safety.

Despite falling 60-feet, Mazurczak was unharmed. He was ticketed by State Park Police for filing to use designated trails.
