Man surrenders to police after barricading himself in two-story apartment

The Fredonia Police Department have arrested a man with felony arrest warrants after barricading himself in a two-story apartment. 

Police received information citing Walter S. Duprey was staying at the 100 block of Eagle Street in the Village of Fredonia. 

According to Fredonia Police, Duprey has outstanding felony arrests for:

  • Robbery
  • Obstructing government administration
  • Resisting arrest
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance

...issued by the Dunkirk City Court. 

When police arrived to the apartment home, they were informed Duprey refused to exit the two-story apartment. 

Further investigation also revealed Duprey had firearms in the apartment. 

Over the next hour, three neighbors were released from the complex through negotiations. Shortly after, Duprey surrendered to Fredonia Police and was immediately turned over to City of Dunkirk Police custody.
