A standoff came to a peaceful end this afternoon in Lockport.

Police responded to a house on Adam Street, between East Avenue and Chestnut, for a report of a man with a gun threatening to harm his family and himself.

Lockport Police, New York State Police and the Niagara County Sheriff's Office responded.

Investigators were able to convince the suspect to walk out of the house with his hands up.

He surrendered without incident.

No one was hurt.

Police are not releasing the suspect's name at this time.

Detectives say the incident began over a fight about tires being left on the suspect's front lawn.
