Arrest made in violent Jamestown home invasion

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) - Police have made an arrest following a violent home invasion in Chautauqua County.

Jamestown Police say 33-year-old Dacien Devault and several other people forced their way into a home on Newland Avenue early Monday morning.

Investigators say the man who lives there was repeatedly hit in the head with a hard object. That man is now being treated for serious injuries.

Devault has been charged with felony assault. He is currently in jail awaiting arraignment.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Jamestown Police.
