James T Mosley, III of Buffalo was sentenced Wednesday to six months in prison, for systematically removing nearly $15,000 from his grandmother's monthly income account.
Using a Power of Attorney, the 53-year-old withdrew the funds, leaving his 93-year-old grandmother living expenses of approximately $50 weekly.
A social worker at the adult center the victim attended reported suspicious activity to officials after the grandmother reported she was unable to purchase her medication.
Mosley will serve his sentence over four months of weekends and five years probation and was ordered to pay $14,383 in restitution.
