The death of an inmate serving time for murder at the Wende Correctional Facility is now under investigation by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
22-year-old Dante Taylor was pronounced dead Saturday morning at a local hospital. Investigators are not saying how Taylor died. His official cause of death will be determined and released by the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office.
Taylor was serving a life sentence for murder. According to WABC in New York City, Taylor killed 21-year-old Sarah Goode in June of 2014 after she rejected his sexual advances. Investigators said Taylor raped Goode and stabbed her more than 40 times.
