Man rescued from Elmwood Village roof by Buffalo Fire

Firefighters from Buffalo Fire Ladder Company #4 rescued a man from a roof of a house on W. Utica Street overnight Wednesday.

First responders were called to the home near the intersection of W. Utica and Elmwood Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. after the man became trapped on the roof after he said was chased onto it by a group of men.

Ladder Company #4 used their ladder bucket to rescue the man from the 2 1/2 story house.  He was not hurt.

Buffalo Police took the man into custody once he got on the ground.  Buffalo Police would not speak to 7 Eyewitness News at the scene and referred us to the department's spokesperson.
