The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced that 24-year-old Kenneth Pringle pleaded guilty to attempted assault in the 1st degree.

On December 18th, 2016, Buffalo Police Officer Stephen Mikac saw Pringle driving a car with an expired inspection sticker.

Officer Mikac tried to pull over Pringle's car. Officers Vincent Judge and Brian Connors responded to the scene to help Mikac.

The officers left their vehicles on Masten and walked in the oncoming traffic lane toward Pringle's car on Best. Pringle then turned his car into the oncoming lane, sped up, and drove directly at Officer Judge and Connors. The officers had to jump over a snowbank to get out of the way.

The 24-year-old then led police on a car chase to his home where he was taken down while trying to run into his house.

Pringle will be sentenced on December 19th at 9:30 a.m.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
