Man found shot dead in driveway of Buffalo home

Homicide detectives with the Buffalo Police Department have launched an investigation into a fatal shooting on the first block of Fay Street in Buffalo.

A spokesperson for the Buffalo Police Department reports the victim was shot at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday. He was found dead in the driveway of a Fay Street home.

Detectives have identified him as a 38-year-old male believed to be from the Hempstead, N.Y. area. The victim's name has not been released because the department is still in the process of notifying his family.
