Man involved in four hit and runs in 30 minutes

Buffalo Police have arrested an individual they say was involved in four hit and run accidents in just 30 minutes on Sunday.

Police say the incident happened just before 3 p.m. According to officers, the individual was driving in a reckless manner near Jefferson Avenue and Genesee Street. As the defendant drove southbound on Jefferson Avenue, police say this individual was speeding and hit a car stopped at a red light.

Officers say he reckless driver's car continued onto the sidewalk, hitting two sign posts and almost hitting pedestrians.

According to police, the driver fled the scene and was involved in another hit and run at East Ferry and Masten Avenue not long after.

Shortly after, officers say they found the driver and the car in the 100 block of Glenwood Avenue.

Police say two people were injured as a result of the four hit and run accidents.

Officers arrested 51-year-old William Marshall of Grand Island in connection to the hit and runs. He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
