An Albion man faces kidnapping, robbery, and other felony charges after holding an adult couple against their will and forcing a female victim to withdraw $400 from her bank and hand it over to the suspect.
Christopher D. Rivers Jr., 19, of Albion was arrested Friday after he was located near his residence in the Village of Albion. The victims did not report the crime initially for fear of their safety; Rivers was known by the victims.
He is charged with first degree kidnapping, first degree robbery, first degree criminal use of a firearm, fourth degree grand larceny, second degree unlawful imprisonment, and second degree menacing.
Rivers is currently being held in the Orleans County Jail without bail and will appear in court next week.
