State Troopers responded to a report of an overturned car in the woods in the Town of Ellery Saturday afternoon.
Troopers arrived at the scene on Bayview Road a half mile north of Brown Hill Road at 4:45 p.m.
State Police say the car was about 35 feet off the road into the woods. Ryan Abbey, 21, of Bemus Point was found dead in the car.
The car may have been overturned for multiple hours before it was found by a farmer, according to officials.
The investigation is ongoing.
