A Hamburg man who hit a car and caused one to die back in July was sentenced Tuesday morning for charges on vehicular manslaughter and vehicular assault.
Shane Heisler is sentenced to three and one-third years to ten years in prison for first degree vehicular manslaughter and two and one-third years to seven years for first degree vehicular assault. He will be serving is sentences at the same time.
On July 16, Heisler was driving on Union Road in the Town of West Seneca when he veered into oncoming traffic and hit another car driven by Ronald Heiss, 65.
Heiss was driving to a wedding with his wife, Diane Heiss, 71, and Barbara Guenther.
Guenther was in a back passenger seat when the crash happened and died as a result of her injuries.
