Police in Chemung County have charged an Elmira man with setting fire to a nativity scene in the heart of the city.
Daniel Peterson-Green, 24, is charged with second-degree criminal mischief.
According to ABC affiliate WENY-TV, Peterson-Green lit a cash register receipt on fire overnight and tossed it into the straw surrounding the nativity in Wisner Park.
Peterson-Green is being held in the Chemung County Jail.
No one was hurt.
