The Niagara Falls Police Department has announced an arrest in the hit and run accident that left a 19-year-old bicyclist in serious condition. Ronald W. Harrison, 61 of Niagara Falls, has been charged with a single count of Leaving the Scene of a Serious Injury Accident, an E Felony.
Police say Harrison was traveling east on Ontario Avenue at approximately 3:20 p.m. on January 19th when hehit Calvin Crogan who was riding a bike. Crogan was taken to ECMC where he continues to be treated for a serious head injury.
Evidence at the scene lead to the identification and arrest of Harrison. The vehicle involved in the crash, a 2003 Hyundai Sonata, was recovered.
Harrison will be arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning.
