DERBY, N.Y. (WKBW) — New Era's Derby plant is scheduled to close this month, so Lyft is trying to help the more than 200 people soon without a job.
Throughout the month, Lyft will help former New Era employees traveling to explore new jobs and interview opportunities. The ridesharing company will provide $50 in Lyft credit, including five free rides up to $10 each.
This is available through the end of MArch, Monday through Friday form 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for travel within the greater Buffalo area.
The codes will be provided directly to former New Era Plant employees.
