Gas prices drop to $1.81 per gallon nationally, down in Western New York as well

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Gas prices are down nationally once again, this time to $1.81 per gallon, and prices continue to drop in Western New York.

Right now the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.27 in both Buffalo and Batavia, down four cents from this time last week.

The average price for a gallon of gas in New York state is also down, this time to $2.22, three cents lower than last week.

The demand for oil across the globe is down due to social distancing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
