Gas prices down in Western New York; up nationally for first time in 10 weeks

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The average price for a gallon of gas in Buffalo is down two cents from last week to $2.21, while lowering four cents in Batavia to $2.23.

This is in contrast to the national average which has increased by one cent from the previous week to $1.78 per gallon.

This is the first time in ten weeks that the national average for gas has increased from the previous week.

The average in Western New York is slightly higher than the average for New York state which is at $2.16 per gallon.
