An 11-year-old Western New York girl has been honored by the Red Cross for making a difference.

Madelynn Pimm is involved in the 4-H club and each year she raises lambs. This year she sold her two lambs and kept the money from one for her college fund and then donated the money from the other to the American Red Cross.

Madelynn turned the $650 over to the organization Tuesday, hoping it will help people who need a helping hand. In return for her generous donation Madelynn was honored with a Red Cross certificate of appreciation and pin.
